Legal Question in Constitutional Law in California
Internet privacy/ etc
I gotan email from google. I posted comments on a blog anonomously about someone. That person is subpoena google to provide information to that person about the identities of the posters of that blog. Google emailed me stating, ''Google will assume you do not have an objection to
production of the requested information and may provide responsive
documents on this date.''
CAn i fight this so google does not provide that person with the information/IDs of the posters? How do I file a motion to quash the subpoena from that person? Im in California, County of Orange.
I have about one week to answer google. thanks

You are responsible for the things you post about people on the internet. If you want to file a motion to quash the subpoena, you will have to retain a lawyer. It won't be cheap.

You must have the case reviewed to find grounds for the objection. Contact me directly.

The procedure for moving to quash is straightforward, at least for lawyers. But in order to win such a motion you will have to persuade the court that your interest in quashing the subpoena should prevail over the plaintiff's interest in finding out who you are. Nothing in your question suggests that you can do this. Your desire to remain anonymous won't carry much weight by itself.
