I've never heard of an individual doing so. If the person goes to the courthouse, then it might be assumed that the court has jurisdiction because the person is there. Usually, they would send an attorney to do so, to specially appear.

Yes, but it has to be done correctly or else they will give the court the very jurisdiction they want to contest.

Btw, in case it wasn't just a typo, you should know that the term is "specially" appear, not "specialty".

As attorney Cohen said, special appearances to challenge personal jurisdiction are normally done by attorneys. More to the point, you will only get one chance to set aside the default, so you had better hire an attorney and have it done correctly.
