Legal Question in Constitutional Law in California
Profanity & Obscenity in Night Clubs
Are there any laws governing EXCESSIVE obscene & profane speech in public places, particularly nightclubs? Could you please direct me to a research source for such laws? Thank you very much.

If you are offended by profane and obscene speech heard in a particular nightclub or nightclubs, may I respectfully suggest you refrain from visiting the establishment(s). You can search California law at www.leginfo.ca.gov .

Free speech is free speech. There are no laws restricting speech in nightclubs (nor could there be). As previously suggested, you are free to not frequent such establishments if you find such speech offensive.
