You only have the right not to answer questions that are privileged, or which may tend to incriminate you. Normally you do not have to testify against your spouse; or about private conversations you had with your doctor, lawyer, psychotherapist, or religious adviser. You do not have to say how you voted in an election. The amendment which gives you the right not to answer any question that might possibly tend to incriminate you is the 5th Amendment. You do not have to say why you think the answer to the question might tend to incriminate you.
