Legal Question in Construction Law in California

I had an arbitration meeting for constrution I had completed on a residential home in 2008. The arbitrator awarded the home owner with a finacial settlement. Of which I have filed a petition to correct or vacate the arbitration award in the superior court of California, county of Los Angeles. But in the mean time , I've had a automatic suspention of my contractors license that was effective as of 8/16/12. I need to know how to file a stay order to regain my license until the hearing date.

That would be something generally handled administratively, not by legal action, so it is not an issue I have ever come across in my 25 years doing construction law. I suggest you contact the CSLB and ask them what if anything can be done.

Also, I think your rights in Superior Court will depend upon the validity of your license at the time of the construction work, not at the time of the petition or the hearing on your petition.
