Bryan R. R. Whipple, Attorney at Law
Business & Professions Code section 7028, subpart (b), says for a first offense, a fine not exceeding $5,000, imprisonment in a county jail for not more than six months, or both. Ask your defense attorney or public defender about plea deals to get suspended sentence, probation or other leniency, unless of course you can prove your innocence.
