Re: breech of contract

This will depend largely on the terms of your contract. Generally speaking, you will be able to sue for the contract amount less the cost avoided. In your case, assuming the owner has paid you for the work you have performed, you are entitled to recover the profit on the work that has been cancelled.

I concur with co-counsel. You will be able to receive the payments for work performed, plus any lost profit that you would have earned had the job been completed.

A lot of the rest will depend on what your contract states with the homeowner.

If you would like to set up a coonsultation to go over your situation, please feel free to contact me at the number and email provided by lawGuru or through our firm's site at No-Probate.com.
