Breech of contract
I had a written contract to do a 1400sq ft. addition with an owner of a car lot. Part of my pay was a truck from the lot for over $7,000. The contract was for work to be completed in 3 months. However,the foundation people messed up, so he hired me to fix it. Then I was able to start building. During that time the owner was not paying according to the contract, and was telling me the hours I had to work, and how to do the work. He also expected me to work 7 days a week. He made it a nightmare. On a Friday(payday) he din't show up with my check so I told him no pay no work. I called him the next day and asked him if he was going to pay me so I could get back to work and he hung up on me. I got as far as 2 passed inspections and had almost everything framed. Its been a month now and he has all my tools everything! Now I'm afraid he going to take the truck for the tools. I feel with all the work I've done, all the running around for him,all the supply hauling, and him not paying me according to the contract, I've paid for the truck. But the contract says when the job is complete I get the pink slip even though it's registered to me. My question is how can I get back my tools and protect myself from him just taking the truck.

After reading your question twice, it makes absolutely no sense --- get a good if this lawyer and me with him/her and bring all of your documents however screwed up they are so you can tell them in person all of the facts so they can invite you properly -- a face to face the meeting with a lawyer is absolutely necessary
