Legal Question in Construction Law in California

Contractor sets up with different license.

Because of a complaint I made to the CSLB against a GC the GC is having an accusation made against him.

If the accusation is found to be valid there are a range of consequences to the GC one of which may include him having his license suspended or even losing it.

From the CSLB website I now see that the GC is has his company listed under a different license than the previous one. Presumably the new license belongs to an employee or family member.

My question is this. With his company operating under a different license means he escapes an consequences of his actions carried out under the previous license?

Re: Contractor sets up with different license.

The individual can go to work for another company provided that he is an employee only. He canot be an officer nor can he be the responsible managing employee (RME) or responsible managing partner (RMP). If he is an officer or an RME or RMP, the other license will be suspended unless he diassociates from the company.

Good Luck
