The new IRS rate for reimbursement is $0.485.

California Government Code section 68093 prescribes witness reimbursement rates of 20c a mile each way and $35 a day currently.
The reimbursement is not payable to a party witness/deponent nor to a person who has merely been subpoenaed to produce business records.
The IRS does not set rates for reimbursement of depontents or witnesses. The IRS figure is the meximum an employee can receive as reimbursement before it becomes income.
