Up to our ears in outstanding legal bills feeling like we have received questionable representation and now have a sanction against us by the other party. What recourse do we have without incurring more debt?

Option 1: Fire your lawyer. Take over the case in pro per. Lose the case.
Option 2. Find another lawyer. Negotiate a fee agreement you can handle. Fire your present lawyer.
