Legal Question in Construction Law in California
My Father's house caught fire the first week on June 07
Is there a time limit to when the
insurance should have his house
fixed? Is has been 3 months and
nothing has been done, and he is still
paying the mortgage on a house he
can not live in.

There's no real time limit because of possible investigations and then getting estimates, permits, etc. Insurance companies can be 'prodded' but it must be done so properly to get a quick response.
We specialize in trusts, estates and Probate, so we deal with insurance companies quite a bit. If you would like our assistance, I can be reached at the info provided by LawGuru or through one of our firm's websites such as No-Probate.com.
