Legal Question in Construction Law in California

We are the General Contractor. Our Subcontractor submitted an Unconditional Final release from one of their suppliers in Jan 2015. My Subcontractor is still on the job.

Is the UF from the supplier dated in January still valid in July? Or did I need to request a new UF with current billing date for each month that my Subcontractor is still on the job? My CPA is concerned that is may no longer be "Valid". Please advise. Thanks

The release never expires for materials supplied up through the date of the release even if the subcontractor is still on the job. If, however, the subcontractor acquires additional materials from that supplier that are incorporated into your project at any time after the release, then a new release is needed for the new materials.
