Legal Question in Construction Law in California
Hi,
I'm about to go into dispute with a customer, they are trying to blame me for a few things that I have all the evidence for and my contract states that they can not get money for things like employee payroll, rent, etc.. I showed those sections in the contract to the lawyer but she keeps ignoring my answers and wants me to send the amount that they came up with in there head to my insurance. I'm not sure why she's in such a rush to do that? which is my question. So basically and talking back and fourth with the lawyer of the customer answering to all her questions and to all of there accusations but they still insist even though I'm showing them all the evidence that I have against them. They also sent a letter to my bond. This is the first time something like this ever happens to me in 8 years of working as a contractor so I'm not really sure how to fight with people like these. What should I do next?
Thanks

I do not understand the exact facts in question. I am not sure if the lawyer you are talking to is your lawyer or that of the other party. If it is your lawyer and you are unhappy then you should get a different lawyer. If it is the other party,s lawyer they are not going to advocate for you, but for the other party.
