Legal Question in Construction Law in California
Lemon Law for New Homes?
The main underground water line into our new home (9 months old) has a leak. I have contacted the builder at least 15 times tryng to get this fixed, as it is still under warranty. They have been extremely slow in responding. After two months and at least six visits by a ''handyman'' who works for the company, the pipe is still leaking (you can actually see it). I believe it's not unreasonable to think this will eventually result in a sink hole in our front yard. After each ''repair'', the handyman insists the leak has been fixed. It hasn't. Do I have any recourse under Califonia law? Thank you very much for any information you can provide.
