You can file a UCC-1 on them at the time of sale. You cannot file a mechanics lien on furniture. You can record a mechanics lien on the project if and only if what you sell to the contractor becomes a permenant fixture attached to the real property. So if you sell a built-in window seat, you have lien rights (provided you also took all the statutory preliminary steps to perfect your right to file a lien, such as serving a 20-day preliminary notice). If you sell the contractor a washer and dryer, or a couch to stage the property, you have no mechanics lien rights.
