Legal Question in Construction Law in California
On a mechanics lien for a vehicle can the registerd owner file a lien against the finance company for repairing a vehicle that insurance paid a claim on to finance company?

The term mechanics lien is confusing. It only applies to works of improvement of real property, like building or remodeling a building, major landscaping, paving, grading, etc. It has nothing to do with automobiles.
