Legal Question in Construction Law in California
If a public works project requires a mandatory pre-job walk - must the entity that signs the pre-job sign in sheet also be the same one that bids? In other words if sign in as ABC Company but bid as DFG Company, which is related is the bid non-responsive?

As with so many things in the law, it depends. The contracting authority certainly has the legal power to require that the business that signs in be the business that bids, but they do not have to. It would depend on exactly what the pre-qualification provisions say, and exactly how "related" ABC and DFG are.
