Legal Question in Construction Law in California

questions about filling out california court form JUD-100

Hello,

recently I received ''Statement of Decision'' from the judge at El Dorado, CA. $21,000 was awarded to me. Then, I understand that the next step before starting collection is to submit ''judgement form'' to the court. Then, I have questions about some items in the form.

Item 6.c shows total amount of claim. Then, should I put $21,000 in the Item 6.c.(1)-Damages? Then, how about Item 6.c.(2)? Should I put the interest for the $21,000 during the period of legal process in that? Then, should I put the total of attorney fee during the trial in Item 6.c.(3)?

Or, do I have to put the $21,000 in Item 6.c.(6)-Total?

Very confusing....

I would greatly appreciate your help.

Thank you very much,

I can prepare the judgment for you. We can do it with the Form, but we can also simply prepare a Judgment for the judge to sign. As to interest and attorney's fees were those awarded to you in the Statement of Decision? If not, we have to determine whether you are entitled to them. David Burkenroad
