A contractor's license does not dispose of the need for a business license where you have your place of business. I have a license to practice law, but I still need a local business license in Santa Rosa or from Marin County or wherever I hang out my shingle. Similarly, you'll need to comply with city or county business-license ordinances in 93534 whather you have a license to practice a particular profession or not. The specifics of local business licenses vary from place to place, so ask locally about tax rates, exemptions, etc.
