Legal Question in Construction Law in California
A technician came out to replace a compressor of a cooler on august 7 2009. 6months later couple days ago, the compressor is broken. I tried to call the company to request information on where the technician bought the compressor so i can get a replacement. It is on warrenty. But, the company says they dont have that information and the technician is not working there anymore and cannot be reached. What do I do??

Look for a serial number and contact the manufacturer. I have a couple of Copeland compressors here on my property (former owners had a lamb business) and they have very obvious nameplates with all the data including model and serial numbers. The mfr. should be able to trace or maybe even handle the warranty claim at the factory level.
