Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
My 18 year old daughter just bought her first car from a guy on craigslist, when asked how the car was he stated that everything was working and had no problems. When my daughter brought it home we found it to be leaking fluids. I took it to my mechanic and he found several problems like bad rack and pinions, wheel bearing, breaks and transmission, these are just to name a few. Is my daughter stuck with this lemon or does she have a right to return it or request he pay for the repairs?
Thank you.

If it doesn't smog you can return it or sue. Otherwise it's a lesson every 18 year old learns.
