Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
i have 28 years old swimming pool and spa with cooper pipe that leaked.after i called pool repair he
found out that the water ph of the pool is low 6.4 or more acidity and causing the problem.the leaked
pipe was fixed by another company that more specialized.
the first pool repair man told me that this should be the responsibility of the pool maintainance co.
the commpany that fixed the pipe told me thatlow ph will definitely accelerate the damage to coper pipe.
is it worth for me to try to claim the damage legally.
the cost of repair:locating the leak, repair, fixing the damaged grout is under $5000

Probably not because sounds difficult to prove. If your pool maintenance company had the Ph way off i.e. to a standard that no one else would use for this reason then you would have a case. However this seems like a long term problem and is a result of natural wear and tear.
Hope this helps and good luck.
