Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

Acura Dealership

I purchased a vehicle from Keyes Acura in Vanu Nuys approx a 18 months ago. Among other extras I was talked into purchasing low jack for the vehiicle. Due to unforseen circumstances I ended up selling the vehicle last month without ever having the lowjack installed. I called the Acura dealership and asked them if they could send me a check for the purchase price of the low jack system since It was never installed. The finance Manager Peter Tushe said that if you do not have the product installed within a year you forfeit the money paid. This was never told to us when the vehicle was purchased and he stated that it was just their policy? Is this legal? Can they just take our money wven though we never received the product? Please help, the cost was over $700

Re: Acura Dealership

That's completely ridiculous. Take them to small claims court.
