Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
Apartment Leases
My daughter and her boyfriend both signed an apartment lease for a term of 6 months. The boyfriend has now moved out. If he does not continue to pay on the lease, what is my daughter's liability? If she pays for her share of the monthly lease amount ($375) is she legally protected?

Re: Apartment Leases
Your daughter can be forced to pay the entire rent for the entire duration of the lease. She can however sue the boyfriend for his share of the lease in small claims court!!
