Did the auto dealership rip me off
I bought a used vehicle from a dealership. I specifically asked if the vehicle had been a prior rental and was told it had not but it was a prior lease , this is also in writing that it had not been a prior rental. After I purchased the vehicle I heard about the online vehicle history report . I checked and it does show it was leased and registered as a rental. Can I get my money back. If not, would it be reasonable to ask for a free extended warranty. What recourse do I have ....Thank you

Under California law, a seller of used cars must tell the buyer that the car in question was a rental. If that does not happen, the buyer should be able to get his or her money back. If you would like to discuss your case further, please call me at my office. Howard Silver (818 597-2610).

Our firm actually specializes in this area. The dealership must disclose the fact that a used vehicle was a prior rental vehicle if it was registered as a rental. The dealership has committed fraud in your situation.

you probably could get your money back but would need to sue for it. You might try small claims court and argue that the car is worth less that you thought and you wouldn�t have bought it if they didn�t lie to you. ask for the difference in value.
