Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
Auto lease
I leased an auto in Califonia. The title was put in my name. The lease has ended, and they are trying to charge me for mileage, excessive wear and tear, and some charges for things I disagree with. They will not give me the original condition report (it was used) and they will not compromise. What are my options and does the title being only in my name give me any leverage?

Re: Auto lease
Are you sure that the title is in your name or is it just registered to you? in any event, it really does not matter. If you look at the fine print in your lease, you will see a provision for you to contest their evaluation. Use it, it will pay off. If not, then you will need to consult an attorney.
