Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
auto repair delays
Hello-On 11/8/2 an auto mechanic repair shop took my $650 to purchase a transmission. They gave me a receipt marked paid.It arrived. I handed him $150 cash to put it in.He called and said it was the wrong one. He ordered another one, promised me one date, then another, then another, and so on. My sisters have been calling him about it. Now its 11/25 and...nothing.Is the BAR a good choice? The local newspaper action team? Small claims court? Thank you

I would try one more letter then sue in small claims.

BAR and small claims are your best bet.
