Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

auto shops.

My auto shop just called me and told me that they had to make a revision on the price that they originally quoted me(this was after they did the work). I left them with one price in mind and now they said you truck is ready, but we had to charge you for something else we found and it's $65.00 more.

I told them that they should've called me to clear any additional work to be done and I'm only paying the first agreed upon price, am I right?
