Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
auto transporters
I entered into an agreement with Dash Auto Shippers of Los Angeles, CA to ship my vehicle from Orange County,CA to Virginia Beach, VA. My car was picked up on the 28th of December and delivered on the 18th of January. I was promised my vehicle no later than the 11th of January, and therefore incurred additional expense from needing a rental vehicle. The broker, Dash, refused to reimburse me for the additional expense and also gave me the run around concerning when I would receive my car. Do I have any grounds for small claims suit to get my rental car fees reimbursed?

Re: auto transporters
If you signed a contract that specified the delivery date, did not disclaim any liability for late shipments, and the date was not met, then yes.
