Getting Back Belongings

How can I get back my property from my ''friend''?

The problem: He lives in CA. I live in VI. [We live in two different places, & there is no easy way for me to get to where he is.] What are my options?

Every thing was good at 1st. I loaned him my stuff [8 cds/dvds] & after a while, he stopped talking to me.

Send him a letter by certified return receipt mail and give him a reasonable date to return the stuff (even provide him with a postage-paid large envelope or box). If that doesn't work, you will have a choice of going to small claims court, probably in California, or giving up.
