Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
I bought a new car with cash (personal check to be exact) from a dealership in CA. In the contract the financing dept prepared for me, they had entered that the APR is 3.99 and I am paying in installments for 57 months. I signed the contract because the financing manager told me repeatedly that the check is not exactly cash therefore these fields are needed to be filled but the number wouldn't concern me because I already paid off the car. He did give me a receipt that the dealership received my money for the car price. But with the interest the total calculated listed in the contract is more the the actual car price I paid.
Should I be worried? I emailed the head of the financing department but haven't received any response. I haven't received the car title yet (it has only been a week since I bought the car). Once I receive the title, would the inaccurate contract still matter? Thank you.

Keep trying to get a hold of someone at the dealership. If they do not get back to you and take care of the situation, go see an attorney.
