Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

I bought a used car from a dealership 3 months ago. The plates were expired so they gave me a temp registration. The car is now paid for but the dealer is claiming he can't find the title. Now I have a car with expired registration AND no title. I get the run around every time I talk to the dealer. Is there anything I can do?

You used poor judgment in paying money for a car without getting the pink slip. And you are the 2nd person today here on LawGuru who paid money for a car without getting the pink slip. Since you purchased your bill of sale from a dealership, you should be able to take them to small claims court for your money back.
