Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
I bought a car from a privite party last friday. The very next day not even 24hr later the car stopped running. The person that sold the car to me does not want to fix the problem or give me my moneyback. Do I have a case I haven't started the transfer process with the DMV.

Purchasers of a used vehicle buy as is, which means that you assume the risk of defects in the vehicle. That's why it's always recommended that a potential purchaser bring the car to a reputable mechanic to inspect it before shelling out a lot of cash. It's always worth the extra money to avoid tons of headaches. You're the owner and, unfortunately, it's your responsibility to get it fixed if you want to drive it.
