Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
I bought a VW diesel right before the scandal broke. I've only paid $70 so far due to their deal for no first month payment. I don't want it because of the emissions and want to know what happens if i simply bring it back to the dealer. What are the ramifications. It's not the car I thought I was buying.

Take it back to the dealer. If they don't take it back or replace with another vehicle, which is compliant with the US emissions laws, then you have a case against them. Feel free to contact me should you decide to take legal action. 888*9ENFORCER
I am not only a consumer car lawyer, but also a victim of the same fraud: I own an Audi A3 TDI "clean diesel"! This is a clear and inexcusable fraud on consumers like you and me. What to do is surprisingly complicated question, however, given the clear wrongdoing by VW here. The key is how to get relief in a timely way. There is a flood of litigation against VW currently, and it all is likely to be consolidated and SLOWED way down. You need an expert and creative consumer lawyer.
