Cable Penalty due to moving residence

1 year ago, I made a slight change in my internet service with my cable provider and was told I had to start a new contract. I signed a 3 year contract. I moved my residence and they don't service my new building. They are charging me a penalty of one year fees ($965!). Do I have any legal recourse?

You may be responsible. Some contracts state that if you move that you can avoid the penalty. You need to get a copy of the contract and read it carefully.
