Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
I called a air conditioning contractor for some repair work. They required my credit card number up front. I was given a minimum charge to come out but no estimate for the work nor a hourly rate. The work was performed but I believe I was unfairly charged. Do I have any recourse?

Yes. Call your credit card company and tell them to stop payment to the air conditioning contractor. Then negotiate with the contractor.
