Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
Car buying
My fiance and I thought we financed a car at Cal Worthington ford, but they sent us a notice to cancel the sale saying they could not finance us. There is a 10 day right to cancel on the contract, but we did not get the notification until the 11th day. Can we bind them to their own contract since they missed the 10 day window to cancel? Please help. Thank you.

Re: Car buying
Under California law, a document is served when placed in the mail. However, if you want to keep the car and obtain financing elsewhere, argue with them about this. They certainly would want the sale to go through rather than to get the car back, I would think. By the way, how's "Spot"?
