Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
How can a car contract be voided?
I bought a Kia Sportage 2/26/2001 when the contract was signed. One of the things that was promised was that I was to be provided with two seat belt extenders. It is now almost two weeks later and I was just informed Kia does not make seat belt extenders. I am so frustrated I want to turn the car back in and forget the whole deal. Can this be done?

You can only cancel the contract if there has been a material breach by them. it may take a court to decide if the breach is material. My guess is that it is not a material breach but you can go to small claims court to collect the cost of getting substitute extensions.
