Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
Car Dealership Didn't Transfer Title
I traded my car in to a used car dealership and bought another car from them. I owned the car, and wasn't making payments. Now, almost a year later, I have gotten a notice from the Franchise Tax Board stating they put an earnings withholding order on my car. I spoke to the dealership almost 8 months ago about this, because the DMV said I hadn't registered my car, and the dealership said they would take care of it, but they obviously haven't.
This dealership has already sold me a terrible car, it was in an accident and they never disclosed the info to me. Is there anyway I can take legal action? Or even take the car back?
