Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
Used car purchase and repairs
I bought a used car in June 2005 from a well known, nation wide used car dealership geared toward reestablishing a persons credit. I have paid over $1500 in repairs since. The first repair was done by the dealer within the first month. Two months later they refused to do any more repairs. This company preys on the poor and/or those trying to reestablish their credit reputation making it difficult to accomplish. I want to continue making the $410.00 a month payment as I believe in paying for my own mistakes but this is not right. Do I have the right to small claims court?

Re: Used car purchase and repairs
Used car purchases are usually "as-is", meaning buyer beware. However, if this company is known for selling lemons to the financially downtrodden, a lawyer might want to consider bringing a class action if it is worthwhile.
