Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
Car was sold
I sold my 1994 ford ranger for $4800.00. It was still owned by the bank. Seven months later, however, the bank note was paid off by me. The party that bought the vehicle said that it took too long to receive the pinkslip and now wants his money back and will take me to small claims court if I don't. My question is can he do this.

Re: Car was sold
Anyone can take anyone to small claims court. The problem is, they need to prove that they were damaged. Unless he can show that he suffered monetary damages of some sort (for example, someone had offered to buy the car from him for $5500, and he couldn't sell it because of your bank lien) he probably will not be very successful.
