Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
Change Of Existing Contract
A new company recently aquired the company I have a
paid time share through. They have recently offered to
upgrade everyone's memberships for an additional
sum of money. If I do not wish to pay this, I was
informed that my ''maintaince fees'' will go up every
year. If I pay for the ''upgrade'' now they will not. Is this
legal? It seems almost like some kind of extorion. A
promt reply would be appreciated since I am suppose
to make my decission by this coming Saturday. Thanks.
