Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
Can I be charged for this?
I rented a waverunner and caused minor damage to the body of the craft. It is still fully functional. The people didn't say anything to me when I returned it. The didn't do an inspection with me before I took the craft out to show me that there were no damages to it prior to me riding it. I did sign a contract saying I was responsible for damages, but nobody said anything to me. Can they still bill me for the cost to fix the damage/replace the craft?

You probably spray-painted over the damage, you sly dog. The more time that goes by, the less likely anything will come of it.
