Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

I choked on a tie that was used on a loaf of bread. The tie had a metal fish wire like makeup. I took back to the Deli where I purchased the sandwich and the MGR told me he would have Owner call, no response from Owner as yet..what is my recourse.

I did not chip a tooth, I hurt my mouth, gums ,when I finally got hold of the thing and pulled it out. I was embarassed as I was eating with my boss, I was humilated and frightened at the same time. For a few minutes I thought I was going to die. This happened on August 3rd, I bought the Sandwich the eve of Aug 2 to take to work, Egg salad sandwich
