Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
Consumer rights in an Internet Purchase
On June 13, 2001 I called to confirm the price of a
dvd player and television totalling $1,768.95 from
an online retailer. After having the prices
confirmed I puchased the television and dvd
player online. The retailler had sent for approval
on my credit card (mastercard) but did not collect
within 10 days and the order had dropped out. I
have the reciept and the origional verbal price
confirmation for these two items. The two items
now sell for $9,231.84. What can I do to purchase
the two items at the original cost? Since I am in
California and the retailler is based in New York
does this affect my case?
