Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
Contract Dispute
If I signed a contract to rent a vehicle for one week and the radioator overheated would this position place me responsible for the repair when the vehicle was not mine. The rent a car shop is holding me responsible because I made an emergency road side repair to get me back to the dealership and the engine blew. The contract said that no repairs were to be made to the vehicle. Although I was in another country and the repair was for under $35. Am I responsible.

Re: Contract Dispute
it depends on the wording of the contract and whether or not your repair was related to the damage. turn it in to your insurance co.
