Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
Contract with a minor
My son who is 17 purshased an automobile and signed a pink slip without my knowledge and four hours later was involved in an accident which was his fault. My question is, can he enter into a legal an binding contract for this automobile? Is the car still the responsibility of the seller in question assuming the contract is void?

Re: Contract with a minor
Your son is still liable to the other party for his own negligence. The dealer might be liable to the injured party for negligent entrustment. The contract is voidable, so he might not owe on the contract if the wrecked car is returned. He might be liable to the dealer, though for damage to the dealer's car. That's how I see it, anyway.
