Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

contract recision period

I paid $99 to have a company over the internet advertise my car so I could find a potential ''leasor'' to take over the lease of my car. I was told I would not be liable once this transaction was done. I found out otherwise from my leasing company, so within 24 hours requested a refund by phone, and the next day faxed my cancellation request in writing. They still refuse to refund my money. What are my rights?

Re: contract recision period

Why would you expect the leasing company to let you fob off your lease obligation onto some stranger? Didn't you read your lease or call the leasing company before spending $99? They would have to approve the credit of whoever you sold it to. Is there a written contract at the internet company you gave $99 to? Verbal agreements are usually worthless.
