Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
Do I get a copy if I sign?
My refrigerator repair company no longer issues copies of repair orders to customers but requires signatures when work is done. I want to keep a record of all work done. They won't do the repair, which is under warranty, unless I sign their form. I told them I have a copier in here and can make a copy of the repair order. No go. The repairman and the manager of the Maytag store said it's corporate policy starting in 2009 not to give customers any paperwork. I'd appreciate your thoughts.
